Q*bert Machine FOR SALE in So Cal
« on: June 08, 2007, 03:56:27 am »
I have decided to sell my beloved Q*bert machine.

The machine swaps back between dedicated and Mame'd in a matter of minutes.  No expense was spared in building this machine.

Here are the details:

Both sides completely stripped to bare and primered and painted with the care of an automobile. Two coats of primer and three coats of paint.  Brand new side art and T-molding from Arcadeshop.com.  Brand new reproduction monitor bezel as well.

As a dedicated Q*bert machine it works PERFECTLY.  I had the power board rebuilt and updated and I installed a new amp chip on the sound board as well.  I also installed a BRAND NEW Happs Vision Pro Monitor.

Once again, works PERFECT even the knocker!

Mame details:

2ghz Athlon, 1gig memory, 120gb hd.

Ultimarc ArcadeVga card interfacing with the brand new Vision Pro Monitor.
Custom control panel with:
Oscar Type 3 Spinner with Discs of Tron aluminum knob. Perfectly weighted.
Translucent, illuminated 1 and 2 player start buttons.
3 microswitch buttons with leafswitches. (3 buttons covers 99.9% of all vertical games)
Ultimarc Ultrastick 360 joystick. (Arguably the best stick on the market)
Ultimarc Ipac2
Custom designed control panel overlay that stays true to the old school Q*bert theme.(spare overlay included)
Custom speaker panel with 2.1 PC speakers mounted in the original speaker location.
Bit Limited "Smart" power strip.(One button on)

More details of the cabinet and build are available here:

As a perfectly restored Q*bert this machine should bring over $1000.  Factor in the computer and custom control panel and I think $1500 is a fair price.  Top dollar?  For sure and worth it.  Price is firm.

If you are looking for a vertical Mame cabinet in a classic wrapper, look no further!
