If anyone needs instructions on how to load homebrew \ emulators and what not, I can help them with that after purchase.

Hoagie, screw that Sony ereader.  Just buy yourself a Nokia 770 and do ebooks on it.  It's a cool little device that can be had for under 150 bucks if you look around.  It's an open source device that has tons of apps available.  The ebook reader rocks.  I just find a wi-fi hotspot, open the Gutenberg Project and download a book.

I'm concerned about eye strain.  Lcd's can really get your eyes in a bad way over extended periods.  The sony reader doesn't constantly refresh so its more like reading off paper.
