  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
Yea, I know its old school but mine is currently like 233mhz or something crazy like that.  Anyone got any extras lying around, I'll pay something reasonable.  Got paypal (bank transfer too, so NO C.C.)  ;)

I had a K6/2 400 motherboard and processor in my closet last time I cleaned it out. Can't remember if I chucked it or not. I'll look over the weekend (won't be at least until Saturday night, since I work during weekend).

If I didn't chuck it,  you can have it.

Suppose if you have the board, a cheap or free upgrade is not too bad of a way to go.

Just FYI, you can get a motherboard + Celeron 2.8 Ghz for 80 bucks shipped from newegg. Granted, you'd need to get a power supply and probably memory, but you'd be able to slap together a much more modern box for not too much scratch.

That, or just convince someone you know to buy a new computer so you can take their old one 'off of their hands' for them.

I used to have tons of these things, but I cleaned house a few years ago and got rid of everything was older than one generation back in HW.

Ton of em on ebay, for around 10 bucks shipped if TOK doesn't come through for you.

You may be able to use the Williams classic games (Robotron, Defender, etc) on what you have.  Maybe.  Hardware requirements for these games are pretty minimal.
