SlikStik Arcade Machine for Sale in Los Angeles
« on: May 29, 2007, 01:00:59 am »
I'm selling my 2-player SlikStik MAME cabinet.

If you are in Southern California and would like to make me a reasonable offer, then email me at jeff@cosmicjive.net.  I will only be able to consider such offers if the machine doesn't sell on ebay.

(Ebay auction expired, so I deleted the link, see below for machine details and pictures.)

As someone pointed out, theoretically I could ship this thing freight, but I've looked into it and the logistics make that an extremely difficult proposition.  I would have to dis-assemble it to get it out of my apartment, then re-assemble it on the sidewalk, wrap it up in plastic and cardboard, and wait for the truck.  That's assuming I could first figure out how much the thing weighs so that I could get a quote (I have absolutely no concept how much it weighs).  For now I'm still going to try to find a local buyer.

dude what a great deal.  I just ordered one online and will have to pay $3200 to get it finished up.  I wish there was a way to get yours as I would have just bought it.  Good luck again.  Also, try putting it on klov and craigslist at the same time you have it on ebay.

I had already posted it in on Craig's List, but it hadn't occurred to me to post it on KLOV.  Thanks for the tip!

I have not yet sold this machine, so here are the details for anyone who is interested.  I'm willing to consider any reasonable offer.

This is a barely-used SlikStik Arcade machine in perfect condition. It is a MAME-compatible machine. I am selling the physical machine, roms and emulators are not included.

This machine is great for parties and is a must-have for your rec-room!

Item is located in Burbank, CA. This machine is designed to be dis-assembled and re-assembled as needed for easy transport, however the largest pieces make shipping prohibitively expensive, so I can not ship.  Local buyers only. I will help with the initial setup if necessary. Machine is fully operational.

Control Panel:

    * 2 8-way Joysticks (Happ Controls Perfect-360 Electronic Joysticks)
    * 1 Dedicated 4-way Joystick
    * 1 SlikStik Tornado Spinner
    * 1 Lighted 3" Trackball
    * 2-Player Neo-Geo style button layout
    * Slikstik Aluminum Joystick Handles

Computer Hardware:

    * Athlon 2400+ processor
    * 512 MB of RAM
    * 120 GB hard drive
    * DVD drive
    * Silent power supply

Miscellaneous:

    * Brand New Wells Gardner 27" D9200 monitor
    * Keyboard/Mouse drawer
    * 2-player coin door (functional, accepts quarters or tokens)
    * Lighted marquee
    * Powered speakers with sub-woofer

Specifications:

    * Height: 74"
    * Width: 36"
    * Depth: 46"
    * Weight: 400 lbs (approx.)

To put the value of this machine into context, the equivalent machine costs $4,495 if you were to buy it from SlikStik today.
