5/8" MDF in Cincinnati area?
« on: April 17, 2003, 03:52:02 pm »
Does anyone know where I might find 5/8" MDF in the Cincinnati area? All I've been able to find is 3/4" and 1/2"

Strider:

I am in Maineville/Mason area North of Cincy.  I gave up with the 5/8" MDF.  I went with 1/2" and I am really happy with it.

Just a question, How sturdy is that?  Did you make a frame first then attach the MDF?  Just curious.

Oh, sorry... I am using this only for the Control Panel.  More than enough, this 1/2" MDF...

Don't know if 1/2" MDF would be enough for the cab itself.

What kind of cabinet did you build? What plans did you use? Do you have any pics?

Does it mess up the length of the joystick if you use 1/2"?  If it doesn't, I can just use my 1/2" + my plexiglass I bought...

I haven't tried, but 1/2" is less than 5/8", which is always better.  means you will have a longer joystick.  And if you want it shorter, just put a 1/8" piece of wood in between...
