Getting Spinner to Work in AdvanceMame and AdvanceCD

I am building a bartop arcade cabinet:
http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=63362.0
I am currently using AdvanceCD (ver. 2.6.2) as the software. I have been having an impossible time getting it to recognize my Slikstik Tornado spinner
.
Does anyone know the edits that need to be made to the advancemame.rc or advancemenu.rc files that will get this thing recognized?
Thanks

As one who hasn't used advancedMame, take me help with a grain a salt.
My guess, you have more than one mouse, so you need to map whatever your spinner mouse number to player 1.
I think you can in
advmame.rc
try these:
input_map[p1_dialx] mouse[#,x]
input_map[p1_trackballx] mouse[#,x]
Where '#' is whatever mouse number your spinner is.

Actually to clarify, I have no mice hooked up. I am using a mini-pac arcade controller and just 2 joysticks and 6 buttons.
