Columbia MO Arcade Closes its Doors
« on: May 16, 2007, 09:15:50 am »
Its Official, Gunthers Games has closed its doors.  Sad but true.  The primary owner Greg Wolff is looking for someone to help go through a bunch of the stuff in the back room, parts, main boards, bezels, marquee's  ect. ect.  and decided whats worth selling and whats headed to the trash bin.  If you are good with this stuff and live in the Columbia Area please respond here or email  butlerrodney@hotmail.com.  The games that are left are all for sale, first come first serve.  I hope to have a list shortly but some of the ones I remember off the top of my head from being there last night are.

2 Crusin Exoctica's
2 Hydro Thundars
2 Virtual On's
Police Trainer
Police 911???  Virtual Shooting game??
Mortal Combat 5
Tekken Tag Team
Soul Calibur 2

There are alot more, many in conversion cabs with working games in them and good Monitors.

That's too bad, I used to go to Gunther's regularly when I was at Mizzou.  Do you know if he has any pins?

I'm flying into Missouri tonight. I wonder if the wife would let me make a detour to buy a cab (or two or three) and setup some shipping.

I'd love that Police Trainer and the Soul Calibur 2. Also, if a Ms. Pac-Man is there...well, I'd sneak off in the night to go get it if I had to.

Good Luck Jeff.  Wish I was closer and had the funds. :'(

The Attack From Mars is the only Pinball left, I know he is wanting to get $2800 for it, its in pretty good shape, totally playable as are pretty much all the games actually.  I mean they were working and making money on Sunday.  They sold the Galaga, Ms Pac Man, and Ms Pac Man/Galaga Reunion already along with the other pins they had.  The Rush 2049 duo is gone too.  Pop A Shot and Football toss games are gone as are the 2 Skee Balls.  If anyone is interested in any of this stuff for real, like I said, email me and I will get some pics and stuff for you.
