Help with Jroks chip!!
« on: May 11, 2007, 10:52:27 pm »
Here's my problem, plain and simple.  I bought Jroks video encoder chip.  Here is a picture of the video connector that goes from my playchoice 10 PCB, to the monitor: http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o167/JordanViolet/000_0086.jpg

Here is the layout for Jroks video encoder: http://jrok.com/hardware/RGBv4/v4_layout.jpg

I'm wanting to know what to do with that yellow wire at the end (they both come into one wire) and that black one down there.  Please help me out! Thankyou!!

lol fixed the picture! haha thatwas my g/f in the first link but I fixed it!!

Your first picture has nothing to do with the JROK converter or chip.

If you look at your pic from top to bottom....1 through 10..... the pins are layed out as listed by BobA.

So the ones you are asking about are these:

3 Gnd 8
2 ± Vertical Sync 9
1 ± Horz/Comp Sync 10

The two yellow ones that are joined together would be your "composite sync", the black one is video ground (or just plain ol' ground).

Not a technician . . . . just a DIY'er.
