Classic cabs in Boston area - NOT MINE
« on: May 08, 2007, 09:04:49 pm »
I bought my Taito cab from this guy in Bedford last week. He's got a few really nice cabs up for sale and needs to get them out of his rental this weekend.

Scramble  - the cabinet is awesome looking, the paint on the bezel is starting flake a little bit from old age, but everything else about the cabinet is perfect. The game itself has issues; he says it just needs a monitor cap kit, but I think it looks like the pcb might have video issues also. He's throwing in a Super Cobra boardset with it. He wants $250 or $200 without the Super Cobra boards. If I had more room I'd take this one in a heart-beat.
Pengo - really clean condition, needs a new joystick and its all set (has a broken Wico knockoff in it). He paid $450 for it and wants to sell it for that.
Donkey Kong Jr - the monitor has a width problem; the game looks like its squeezed a little horizontally, I think it just needs a little adjustment. The cabinet itself is really clean but missing sideart and has a Donkey Kong CPO instead of a Jr. He's asking for $500 for it.
Taito Egret 29 - He's got 3 of these and wants to keep one. These are rare machines that he imported from Japan. They're all jamma, and the 29" monitors rotate really easily. He didn't mention a price for these.
MsPac - He's got a couple of MsPacs and wants to keep one and sell the other for ~$1000 (pretty much sold).
Space Invaders - Really nice, but he wants about ~$1000 for it's more than likely sold.

He's got some other really nice machines that aren't for sale unfortunately.
PM me if you're interested and I'll give you his email address.

Here's some bad cameraphone photos

Is it just me, or do those prices seem a bit high?

They are but there's no reason you couldn't make an offer.

Exactly. I get the feeling that tomorrow he's going to get pretty desperate to unload them and the prices will go waaay down.
