Ideas for Tron/Star Wars CPO
« on: April 16, 2003, 10:10:23 am »
I'm working on a control panel for my MKII-style cabinet that will house my Tron stick/spinner combo and Star Wars yoke.  The plan is to have the spinner on the left, the Tron stick on the right and the yoke in the center.  I would like to make a CPO for it with some sort of Star Wars and Tron combo theme.  You guys are the masters at control panel creativity (especially for the fighters) so I thought I would toss the idea out there and see if anyone had any suggestions on specific art elements (light cycles, x-wings, etc.) that would work well.

How about Darth Vader pulling a monster wheelie on a light cycle?  ;D

*shrug*

Personally, i'd probably try for something with a sci-fi look, but without anything specific to Star Wars or Tron.  I don't think the two will mix well and you'll be better off with a good looking "generic" theme instead.

That's not exactly an "art element" for a control panel overlay, now is it?  ???

Oh man!  I would love to get my hands on those Tron parts.  Too rich for my blood, especially since I'd only use one of them.  God, I might consider it if I remember to check it out and the price hasn't gone up on it come the end of the auction.
