OK I admit it.

I'm stupid.....

I thought I had carefully packed all the loose parts of my Galaxian CP.

However, I want to re-assemble everything since the CP has been powder coated. I'm still waiting for the overlay, but I don't want to wait to make it playable.

Now, I lost a nut #10 that is fixing a pin in the joystick assembly.
Also, I lost the 6 carriage-bolts (incl. washers and nuts) that hold the metal and wood part of the CP together. I've searched and searched but can't find them back anywhere.

Now of course, in the US and UK I guess you can get these at every hardware store, but we're using metric sizes here.........

Is anyone willing to help me out and get these parts (or maybe have them) and ship them in a simple bubble envelope ? I can cover costs through PayPal.

Here are the details that I've taken straight from the Galaxian parts manual:

#10-32 Lock nut (Part 8 on the Joystick schematic)
#8 - 32 x 1-1/4 carriage bolts (6 required)
#8 - washer (6 required)
#8 - 32 Hex nut w/sems. (6 required)

Thanks !!

  • Robotron in progress? I'm on my way.
I need to buy some hardware soon anyway, so you can put me in the bullpen in case it doesn't work out with newbee.

I think either ponyboy or divemaster sells the black carriage bolts.

I suppose now is not the time to tell you that an complete...original Galaxian Cp with controlls and harness just ended on ebay.   >:D

I was gonna snipe it until I realized I don't need an original CP for my repro cab.

LOL...:P

Anyway If nobody comes through I'll also get you the parts just send me a PM.

Big thank you to all of you. As happens often, in this case I actualy found a supplier here in Holland for the nut just after I posted this thread...... It's a Pinball (on-line) store. (www.flipperwinkel.nl)

They don't list the carriage-bolts though, but they might have them, I dropped them a mail.

I also may come away with metric carriage bolts. However the local DIY store only had them in too large sizes.

Thanks again for your kind offers, if I can't work it out here, I will PM one of you guys :) !

By the way Knave, Galaxian carrriage bolts are blank (silvery), not black !

Ah, good to know...everyone seems to always be looking for the black ones, so I just assumed.  I'll file this bit of info away for when I build the cp for my Galaxian cab.

Well......I've got to come back on this.....I've searched and searched, on-line and at professional suppliers (who sell quantities) and it appears that there are NO carriage bolts under M5.

For those interested: In Europe, we use the metric system for indicating bolt and screw sizes. M5 simply means 5 millimeter, or 0,05 meter.

Simple and clear. However, the M5 carriage bolts sold here are simply too big, and I can't anywhere find M4 carriage bolts....it's nuts ! (yeah nice word-joke there  :laugh2:)

So, if a good sole on the other side of the Atlantic would throw the parts listed above in a (thick) envelope for a couple of bucks I'd REALLY appreceate it.

I don't know who of you have to specialy order these or if anyone of you has these laying around. I don't know if places like Home Depot sell these f.i. So please let me know here how much trouble it would be for you.

Oh, and that nut, you can through in one or two extra, also in size #8 and #6, I want some of these around for the future :D  Thanks !!!
