Mame Cab for sale in Ireland
« on: April 15, 2003, 10:34:43 am »
Hello all,

I'm putting my mame cab up for sale to fund building a 4 player unit with a bigger monitor.

Heres the specs:

Original jamma cabinet (renovated) and converted to 6 buttons per player
19" rotating monitor
I-pac encoder
leaf switches for authentic feel
PC installed running Advancemame and Arcadeos
Pause button and credit switches added

It plays most mame stuff spot on and of course can be set up for other emulators too.

If anybody is interested please reply or e-mail me with what you would consider a reasonable offer as I've never sold anything like this before.

Thanks

Dexter

I'm also selling a Mame Cab in Ireland. It's been sitting in my old bedroom in my parents house for a couple of years now, so I suppose they want to get rid of it. I live in Boston now, so it's not much use to me.

It's a very large upright cab, originally a generic Jamma machine. Here's the specs:
  • 27.5" width, 71" height, 32.5" deep
  • 27" Hantarex 9000 Arcade Monitor (horizontal, can probably be rotated, but vertical games are big enough on it)
  • AMD Athlon 700 PC, 196meg memory, 14gig hard drive
  • Lit marquee with stereo speakers
  • New Happ Controls parts - 2 Joysticks, 3 fire buttons each, 2 player select buttons
  • Extra control box hidden inside coin door with Coin,  Exit, Pause and Options buttons
  • Running ArcadeOS 2.45  and DOS MAME (can't remember which version, probably .37b12)
  • Perfectly hacked keyboard, slides out when control panel is unclamped - easy access.
I spent a lot of doing on this machine, but I'm willing to let it go pretty cheap. I will not ship it, so you'll need to pick it up in Mullingar (midlands), or arrange to have it shipped.

Sorry the photo isn't up to much, I really need a new camera.

Let me know if anyones interested.

Hey Dexter,

Want to take my cab off my parents hands? Sounds like it might fit your needs pretty well. You won't fit 4 player controls on the panel as it is, but with a little modification you could get one in there. And the 27" monitor is beautiful.

I stuck a few more (bad) photo's of it up at:

Let me know what you think,
