ARCH RIVALS!!! Anyone???
« on: April 24, 2007, 06:22:35 pm »
I have a question about this oldschool classic game.  I now know how to switch teams, but there is only like Chicago, Los Angelas, Natural High, and something like Brawl State.  I am using version 4.0 of the game.  Anymore teams on there???

I'm trying hard to remember, but that seems right to me. I don't remember there being a large selection of teams. It was kinda like Double Dribble (Dubbo Dribbo) on the NES. Most teams were the same, they just had different colors.

You can personalize the teams through the service menu.  I don't have a copy of the manual anymore, but you could Google one up, or you could probably figure it out just digging around the menu.  (That's the game ROM's service menu, not MAME's menu, if you're using emulation instead of a real game PCB.)

I never knew about the "Hometown Heroes" options. I love it when games have customization options like that (and the title screen customization in most of the Williams games).

There are only 4 teams to edit, so it looks like that's it. Arch Rivals was a pretty decent game, but I always favored Pigskin 621AD. Our local Putt-Putt had both.
Brevity is not my strong suit.

Yeah we had this oldschool Putt Putt couple towns away in plano Texas.  They had both.  I do prefer the Pigskin game as well.

Yeah it looks like 4 teams.  I like that pretty good.
