How big is your cabinet?
« on: April 15, 2003, 04:34:53 am »
Im just curious how big most of you have built your cabinets. Im betting that mine is one of the largest. But to accomodate a 27" TV it had to be pretty large. I assembled it in the room that its in, but if I have to I can get it through the door if I unbolt the control panel.

Height: 72.5"
Width: 28.5"
Depth: (at base 38") (at control panel 44.5")

22" Wide and 26" deep at the control panel, and 61" tall (Artic Mini cab).

I am not really into really big cabinets, as it is hard to follow all the action on a large screen. Like those new 25" monitor Ms Pac/Galaga machines. I gotta kind of stand back from the thing to see the whole screen. I prefer the 19" monitor ones. If you really want some high scores, try a cocktail, or mini of some kind that uses a 13" monitor. Very easy to see everything at once.
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

My current design has the
Height: 198cm (78")
Width: 85cm (33.5") (cabinet only - 4-p panel is much wider)
Depth: 105cm (41.3") (125cm or 49.2" with panel)

Height and depth may change slightly depending on placement of 27"TV.  Based on a Midway type cab.  This has to go through the sliding door out the back.  The height may drop if I decrease the space above the tv, but this would cause the tv the be angled more (keeping roughly perpendicular with my eye level) causing it to be slightly deeper.  I think I might need someone to look over my design to make sure I have the measurements and angles right.

Cheers

the standard Centari cabinet is a hair under 25.5" wide for a 19" vertical monitor.

I don't remember the other dimensions.

Size wise it is based off my double dragon II cabinet.  It's a little deeper than the ddragon2 cabinet.

Without the control panel attached the measurements are:

     75"height x 28-1/2"width x 43"depth

My control panel measurements are:

     7"(front) to 9"(back) sloping height x 57"width x 19"depth
