DIP settings from factory
« on: April 13, 2007, 07:58:30 pm »
Does anyone have a resource where I can find out the stock from the factory DIP settings for different games?   Number of lives,  score to reach to get extra life...etc....

Thanks!

I am trying to set my 48-in-1 as close to factory as possible...so i'd be looking for 48 manuals...where's a good place to start?

But of course thus far the manuals have been no help.  Pac Man,  Galaga,  Ms. Pac all describe what the DIPS do,  but none of the manuals indicate what the STOCK settings were from the factory...damn.

Well, you could go to twingalaxies.com and use the official dip switch settings that they set for each game. It might not be factory settings in all cases, but it is probably the next best thing.

I know when I bought my millipede the guy still had the original paper with the dip switch info stapled to the inside of the door.

Doesn't MAME startup a fresh installation with factory DIP settings?  If so, you could start each game there and check them out.  Of course, chances are your 48 in 1 board is a MAME ripoff anyway so maybe they are already set that way!  :P

48-in-1 boards aren't a MAME ripoff (at least not like the 1000-in-1's that use an actual PC).  They come with all DIPS set to "off".  Horseboy IS THE MAN.  I found all settings save for one at Twin Galaxies and the majority of `em are factory default!
