Recommendations for attaching adhesive CPO
« on: April 12, 2007, 10:50:29 pm »
I ordered a control panel overlay frome MAMEMarquees yesterday for my cab build. I ordered the overlay with the adhesive back. The FAQ on their site says that the adhesive doesn't stick well to bare MDF, but is kinda vague on what to use. If anyone here has ever mounted one of their Control Panels/Side Art I'd like to know what you coated the MDF with first so it sticks well.

Use a good sealer-primer and then don't depend on just the adhesive on the overlay, get some 3M Hi-Strength 90 spray adhesive and lightly coat both surfaces. Of course it wouldn't be that big an issue if you're putting  polycarb  on over your C.P. flash.
