It should fit just fine unless you ordered the wrong size. If you want to hold it in place with glue, however, try something like wood glue.

Or routed too big. Or has an old cab with worn slots.

I like to use hot glue for loose t-molding.

Cheers

Here's what I'd do:

I'd fill your slots with glue, get the T-molding on quickly (but nicely) and then use a damp rag to wipe off the excess glue. You're going to need to use quite a bit of glue to make it hold well. Also, don't leave the t-molding as is while the glue is setting. It can easily separate from the cab while drying. You might want to use strips of electrical tape to hold the t-molding in place while the glue hardens. Just make sure to wipe off the excess glue while it's wet or you'll have a tough time getting it off without hurting your paint job or the t-molding.

If you have a hot glue gun (a craft gun works fine for me), try that -- you can do a bit at a time, it sets fast (makes it easier to get good results) and, should everything go to heck, isn't a big deal to pull back out.

Using a slower-setting glue could be problematic unless you get the t-mold securely and uniformly taped to the cabinet while it sets ... depending on the t-mold and fit, you could get ripples ... and you probably don't want to be pulling the t-mold out once the glue sets.

My $.02.

Hot glue is definitely the way to go.  Sets up quickly - but not *too* quickly, and fills spaces nicely.

Guns are cheap, and so are the glue sticks.

I agree with the above...Go with the Hot Glue...Pick up a glue gun and glue sticks at any craft store...heck walmart or Target probably has them too.

Has anyone tried P-Trim?

I use it on gatorboard and Foamboard, but should work nice with MDF.

It just clips on, but the curves you will have to heat it with a hairdryer.
If I had only one wish, it would be for three more wishes.

I've had pretty good luck using masking tape around the spine of the T to make it thicker.

I haven't had any luck at all calling it names.

Well the hot glue worked like a charm.  I'm just running into some other probems now, that I didn't have before.

Yeah it is I must agree, but now I just have to fight the urge to shot it with a shoot gun because it's not working correctly.  But I don't know.
