I'm looking for a jukebox that plays 45rpm vinyl records and is located in the central ohio or surrounding areas.   A group of friends of mine are making a film and it requires a shot of a 45 being flipped down onto the turntable but they've had no luck finding an old juke like this to film.   Even the oldest bars seem to have switched to cd jukes at this point.

I know that some of you arcaders are also collectors and restorers of things like this or might just know of a bar or restaurant that has one of these old jukes, so I thought I'd ask.

The closer to central ohio, the better, but some travel to get these shots would probably be viable.

Thanks

  • Soon I will post that I am a triathalete
I have one but it is a tormat unit.  It stores the records vertically and plays them behind the record storage.

I'm in Southern Indiana, right across the river from Louisville.

There are always a ton of jukes on ebay from Cincinatti and Columbus. Post a craigslist ad stating what you want to do in that area and you'll probably find someone.

The US Amusement auctions in Indianapolis (next one is the coming April 14) usually have a number of jukeboxes, both old and new.  You might be able to find one there.
