New guy working on first build
« on: April 05, 2007, 06:03:39 pm »
Hey everyone, this is my first post here but I've been reading for a while.

I'm starting on my first cab for MAME and will probably need answers now and then.

The cab I'm gonna build is sorta based on the Arcade Paradise 3 type design, I'd like to use a Billabs 24.8" monitor and ArcadeVGA but I can't find that monitor available for purchase anywhere, I'm waiting on a response from Billabs.
I also want to use the USB I-PAC for my control interface. My CP is gonna have 2 4/8-way joysticks from Happ, 6 pushbuttons per player, and 1 and 2 player buttons. I originally wanted a trackball but didn't know they were so expensive.

If anyone knows where I can get a Billabs 24.8" monitor or if they can suggest something better I'd be most appreciative.  ;D

In the BST thread - there are trackballs for $30.

My first word of advice - get a trackball. You'll be glad you did.

Leave room for a spinner too.  Then you will have it all.
