;D so yeah now that I got this race drivin cab I need to do sometin' with it.. well I have a dreamcast and like 150 games for it now...,.playing spirit of speed, monocogp, hydro thunder , crazi taxi , all rock and someday will be emulated..but why??? thats another post....anyways.. i was talking to a fellow arcade nut like myself and he hacke a set of dc pads to his cab..yeah not the 1st and not the last but i was like how about the rumble packs???

well here is the point....I would like to hack a dc wheel to the atari wheel in my race drivin cab...then hack the pedals to the real one..yada yada... then as far as the rumble pack goes.....this is good...
dismantle the rumble pak...take the 5 volts or whatever it is and wire it up to a relay(what kind, i dunno???) and then wire that relay to like a starter motor with an offset weight on it or just a larger version of the rumble pak motor...and put it under the seat......how cool would that be???

only thing is what kinda motor and weight to use and what kinda relay to use.....
another thing is that id have to mount the tv weird because the old monitor mounted on its face and reflected down...time for some mods....either this or hack it to a mouse for mame racing games.... ::)

again, Delta ol' buddy...  this is stuff I can hook you up with at a VERY reasonable cost, plus installation fees of course...  I've GOT 5vdc AC power relays, I've GOT stepping motors, etc.  Let's hack it, and THEN share with the world!  Oh, and I've DEFINITELY got weights...  I work for a process controls company with a scale division.   ;D

I'll look into this, y'all...  maybe we can all have dedicated force-feedback driving cabs soon.  Rock on...  --dave
