Completed Jukebox
« on: April 03, 2007, 09:43:05 am »
Hey Guys:
Thought I would Show you my completed juke box. Not to bad for a guy who knows nothing about woodworking. The machine is made from cheap shelving I bought at Value Home center. It has  a 15" Touch screen, 2.2 Mhz
processor, on-board sound and video. You start and stop the machine from a
simple push button on the back.Programing is freebox juke box 2.1.12
very stable, Music his held on a 160 gig USB HD. Music is pumped out to a
900 watt peavey to the main speakers and a 600 watt pyle pro to the sub.
I say its complete but I think it will always be a work in progress.

And finally the sub part picture, The sub is an old acoustica case
with two 15" peavey spiders in it.

Well it looks simple and works. ;)

How stable is the base? Im just curious because of how thin the lower legs look.

The base is very stable. Even on plush carpet it sets well and doesn't
tip over. Have taken it to a few party's and let friends use it and they
didn't tip it over either so it must be pretty stable. The wood is actually 3/4"
thick I know it doesn't  look it in the pictures, No glue just 2" sheet rock
screws and of course pre drilled the holes so I didn't split the wood.

Yes, it simple cabinet, but it work very well.

The only thing is, it should maybe have painted it black or such that to match the speackers? That is all I can think about it. So it more paint work, that may been missing, not the wood work, wich works fine.
