SLIKSTIK JOYSTICK IMPRESSIONS..........

Well to start off i received my SLIKSTIK after a 5 week wait.  On the Slikstik website it does say expect a 3-5 week , so even though 5 weeks sucked to wait for something you spend $535.00, i must say that after all my anxious nailbiting
and sleepness nights i was GREATLY overjoyed to receive an email from SLIKSTIK last tuesday saying that it was shipped!!!

All morning long i waited and waited       for the UPS man to arrive and when he finally got here, he lugged this big ol' box onto my porch and proclaimed "Man this must be expensive ....it weighs a TON" and chuckled. Little did he know what a glorious treasure awaited me inside this box! LOL  

Here are my impressions after receiving the boxed slikstik :

1) The packaging was top notch!  There was ample styrofoam padding  to protect the slikstik dureing shipping and it was very well taped up!  Great job here!

2)The Construction of the slikstik was very professionaL. From the formica on all surfaces except the bottom, to the  t-molding wrapping around all the corner edges.  Make no mistake, this baby is WELL built and can take a real beating.  It  Needs to be able to take a beating  especially if my kids  are going to play on it lol.

3)  The HAPP PERFECT 360 JOYSTICK option i ordered i must say, REALLY rock.  This Joystick is really tight and feels GREAT playing just about every type of game i played.  From 4 way style games like frogger and pac-man to 8 way style games like street fighter, i was VERY impressed with the perfect 360's performance and was glad i bought the upgrade.  The best feature for me about this joystick was IT DID NOT CLICK! 'NUFF SAID!
 
4) The Tornado spinner  that Slikstik uses is ....well....... UNBELIEVABLE.   That sucker spun for almost 5 minutes, NO JOKE and the only reason it stopped then was because i stopped it with my own hand so i could play some games!  After playing TEMPEST and TWO  TIGERS , two games that utilise the spinner heavily, i was VERY glad i got the spinner as well!

Overall my experience with the slikstik has been wonderful.
The customer support dealing with questions regarding shipping  could be a little better as i felt like sometimes i was getting a quick brush off, but again, overall all my questions have been answered quickly and professionally.

If you don't want the hassle of building your own arcade joystick, The slikstik is in my oppinion THE BEST out there in appearance as well as for useing top notch parts!   I would love to see a WICO LEAF  switch 4 way in the middle for the old classics, but i know those are hard to come by now'a days hehe.
