congratulations - cant knock you for getting a reward for your work.
personally i cant see that itll work as a pay site, other net sites are sold for their potential in advertising due to the high user levels, is this site up there with the myspace usership.
what about the forums are we all just gonna have to go somewhere else, the thought of having to pay to get advice from 'friends' seems a bit wierd.
and premade devices being the way forward, that doesnt seem right ,why do all these people call it a hobby ,if theyd happily buy premade stuff, kneivel how bout you bet you cant wait to but some plastic panel much better than that rubbish you knock up

I realized the date about halfway through the 2nd paragraph. What an amazing day to have such a life changing experience. Saint, congratulations. Now when people are pulling pranks on you in the years to come you can allways ignore their tomfoolery and remember that more importantly than being April 1st, it's the anniversary of your greatest day.

What a great time to be alive, I can't wait to see the changes.

I've been thinking there has been too much talk of building arcades on this site and not enough gaming. I also think that all the high quality and heavy components that we are currently using are totally overrated. Thank goodness some huge commercial company has the sense to change this site into what it should have been before, a site for Buying Your Own Arcade Controls (cheaply made of course) and playing arcade games on-line or on your iArcade.

... you had me going for a minute there. Though at least the change/shutdown wasn't due to disgruntled members of MAMEDEV "ending it." That would've really shocked and saddened me.

Yeah, I was just running with what Saint started. I do agree though if that had been a serious post it would have been pretty dumb. I guess my sarcasm didn't carry through very well.

Wow,
I must be getting really gullible in my old age.
I fell for the tron story yesterday.
Then my daughter hands me a detention notice for being truant from class.
The notice said she left school with her boyfriend.
While I am yelling at her she's just playing it off like it was no big deal.
Then after about ten minutes of this she just starts laughing her butt off and says "april fools".
She had gone to the office and asked them for a detention notice then had one of her teachers fill it out.
Then today this story....
