If you want to keep this thread, you are going to want to remove the link. It's OK to talk about these boards, but being that they are bootlegs, linking to the product is a no-no.
I have a 48-in-1 that I am prepping my Donkey Kong Jr. cabinet for. I wanted a Multi-Kong, with all 3 Kongs, and this was, by far, the most economical way to do that. I plan on keeping it 1 button, 4-way, which eliminates a good chunk of the 48 games that come with the board, but I don't care...everything above and beyond the DK, DK Jr., and DK3 is a bonus.
I've considered wiring either the P1 or P2 button as the 2nd button, but aside from QIX, I can't think of any other game on the board that is 4-way + 2 button...though I am likely missing a game or two...
My understanding of the board is that there are basically 3 different versions of this board floating around...lets call them A, B, and C. A boards are the original with all the original components. Aside from a couple of sound issues (I have seen 1942 sounds come up in discussions), the board works as advertised. The B & C boards are knock-offs of the A board and each gets progressively worse with the C boards having issues such as losing settings at power down, game bugs, etc.
There is a nice write up on how to identify the A, B, and C boards over at the KLOV forums....search for 48 in 1 or 48 to 1.
