Idea for hacking a Trackball...Optical?
« on: April 11, 2003, 09:52:52 am »
Anyone ever try to hack an trackball with putting a optical trackball optics next to the ball (on the bottom?)

You couldn't have any of the glossy balls.  But it might be a way to do it.

anyway, after the 4 1/2" trackball conversation, it seemed like it might work.

#1 I would think it would work but not real good.  my optical trackball when spun fast does not register correctly.

#2 balls with black dots are ugly.
