IPAC4 Help!!
« on: March 26, 2007, 10:01:46 pm »
Ok, I am having some issues with the IPAC4.  To start I hooked everything up to my CP an controls, botted up and everything was working great except my admion buttons which I had not yet assigned.  So all was well.  Then I went into WINIpac to configure the panel and assign the admin buttons.  I cleared the controls on the screen in the design panel and then pushed "program" which cleared out the memory in the IPAC.  No problem, now I started fresh and created my panel design according to the instructions and then assigned all buttons and then tried to program it with the new values.  It won 't program and instead gives me the same error "Failed to Program device for 3/4 player"

This would be no big deal because it's only a 2 player cab, but it really isn't programming anything before it gives that error.  Bottom line is I have acleared out IPAC and no way to get it programmed.  I have checked notepad and pushed all my buttons and no keys ar getting encoded so it is in fact blank.  The green light on the IPAC is on so it should be good....but it's not.  I even tried just using the deafult panel and reprogramming and I get the same error!

OK, it's fixed, but the I couldn't do it in Windows.  I actually connected the IPAC to my mac and then downloaded the Mac IPAC utility from Ultimarc's site.  Programmed like a champ and all is well.  That's why I love my Mac....It just works!!!
