smart strips, still good?

So do you guys still like your smart strips?  I am looking at getting a LCG3 or LCG4.

I always liked the idea of the bits limited power strip but never wanted to shell out the money for one. Instead I ended up going with the spystyle power strip and it works just as good. I think there is a tutorial somewhere on this forum but I am unable to find it at the moment.

yes. it's convenient for me to have 1 button that turns on the speakers, pc, monitor, etc. for 30 bucks, it's worth it to not have to open the cab every time i need to power up and it's a very simple solution.

I have one, and it's been fine, but I found the one that Sears offers does the same thing and I don't have to order it.
Its in the tool department, made for powering on a lamp or other device when you fire up a power tool. Using one in my vert cab with no problems. Has less outlets than a Smart Strip, but I only need the PC, marquee light and monitor anyway.

$30? That seems steep for the one switch to rule them all. I just buy a regular old $1.99 power strip, open it up, remove the switch, wire in a new switchto wherever it is on the cab, and close it back up. Plug everything into it and use the cab switch to turn it on and off. Works like a charm, it's easy, and costs next to nothing.

I hope you're not turning off your PC by flipping the power on your power strip.

I like my BitSmart strip, it does just what I need it to. I don't consider it expensive, but I don't have a "use what was lying around" cab, so the money wasn't an issue for me. If you're on a budget maybe it's too much.

Thirty bills may seem expensive, but you must consider that you are getting a surge suppressor also. Most of the $1.99 strips offer no protection other than a circuit breaker. Checking in the stores, you will find that a comparable surge strip cost about the same as the Smart Strip.

I have had my SmartStrip for two years now in a muggy Florida garage. No problems whatsoever, nor has my PC had problems. I don't run it all the time, so I suspect that the SmartStrip will last a while as I only play my arcade every so often, but it is handling well.

I have this one... I was supposed to use this on for my pc, but atm using it for my tv... I guess it's the same as a SmartStrip.
When the master goes off the rest will also turn off.
Got it for uhh... 8 euro I think (about $10?)

I'll be using it when I start my cab
