removing stick from Midway 49 way
« on: March 17, 2007, 11:26:00 pm »
Is there a trick to removing the stick from a Midway 49-way joystick?  The stick is stuck to the diaphragm so I can't remove it.  I'm assuming that it should normally come out easily but mine is just rusted together, huh?  Just wondering cause all four used ones that I have are like this.  Any tips on getting them seperated without damaging the diaphragm?

Rick

I've heard soaking them in Pepsi overnight can help, although I've never tried it.
