quick question about white plexiglass

does white plexi-glass get nasty looking at all with use, like from wrist rubbing etc, like a brown hazy-ness in spots or anything not good looking like that happen to anyone?
or clear, i mean i guess the same dirty-ness if it occurs would be on any plexi, just most visible on white.

As long as it isn't scratched up you can clean it easily.  It is very smooth.  I think that a rougher surface might have those problems, or if there were scratches in the plexi the dirt and grime could get stuck in them and make it stand out.  I think that VRF had a white acrylic version of all the Pixelbox parts made, so maybe he'll chime in. 

It just dawned on me that you may mean frosted white plexi, and sometimes that has a texture and would definitely get dirty quickly.  The opaque/shiny kind is what I was talking about earlier.

Although it's polycarbonate, check out Apple's iPods and iBooks. Similar concept. The worst thing to worry about with those are scratches. Everything else can be easily cleaned with the proper products.

You could always put the white under a 1/16" piece of clear acrylic.

This works great. Use R/C car paint. Some regular paints won't stick right, and some propellants fog the plastic.

This is how the light table works that I made for my wife.  1/8" white plexi under 1/4" of glass.  We've had it for years without any discoloration.  Of course, nobody ever touches the white plexi so there's not much reason that it would discolor, but that's the point, I guess.  Good solution, I'd say.
