Converted Tempest Cab on eBay
« on: March 15, 2007, 02:20:27 am »
Time Soldiers

Are there worse examples of bad conversions than this? Not only did they just cut up what looks like the side art and slap it over the Tempest art, the thing looks like it's been in a bus station for the last 15 years, not a church where this guy claims it comes from. The coin door looks like they wrenched it apart with a crowbar. Makes me wonder if they just left the old vector monitor in there thinking it would work with the TS board.

I'd probably try and bid on it to fix it up. At least make it into a decent Mame cab, but it's all the way in NJ.

Oddly enough, that was apparently a common conversion. I have seen a few Time Soldiers in Tempest cabs before and used to have what was left of a Tempest panel with a rotary stick on it.
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

I've only seen pictures of one Tempest conversion that actually looked decent. It was converted to Konami's Aliens.

I love Time Soldiers. The 7-11 down the street had it when I was a kid. What a great game. Too bad this cab is A) in such bad shape and B) in Jersey. I would love to own a Time Soldier.
