Mame Slower?
« on: March 08, 2007, 11:13:07 am »
Is it just me or is the new Mame slower on older systems? I hadn't tried the new Mame and I loaded it up with games Ive played on it before and it ran really slow. Is there a guide out there for optimizing it on slower computers or it just geared towards faster computers now? Don't laugh Ive got it running on an Athlon XP2000 running @ 1.67 and its got 1 gig of ram. Let me know thanks!

It has been discussed here many times that you want to use older versions of MAME on slower computers. I use .54 on a pentium 400mhz.
