Sub-forums?
« on: March 21, 2007, 06:28:26 pm »
I've always thought that there should be a few forums with separate sub-forums.

A good example would be the monitor/video forum.

There are three types of posts located there.

1  -  My arcade-style monitor doesn't work and I need technical help to fix the problem.

2  -  What type of monitor should I buy for my upcoming MAME project?

3  -  I can't figure out how come Game X doesn't display properly even though Games A - W work just fine.

Question three should probably belong in the software/hardware forums, as they usually deal with ArcadVGA cards and their settings.

Question two is a good question, but clutters up a board of mostly technical problems (bad colors/hold/no power).  Perhaps these should go to hardware?  Dunno.  Maybe two sub-forums:  Choosing a Display and Fixing a Display.

Oh, well..... just bothers me I guess..... :-\

Nobody ever checks daughter boards. It was tried in BST for dealers and was a disaster.
