female quick disconnect splices
« on: March 06, 2007, 08:07:56 am »
After making a few control panels for various cabinets, I found that I go through these splices like mad!
I ran across these on eBay, good price (I think), and great shipping! I think I got them 2-3 days after ordering.

Anyone know of any cheaper?
I picked up the 100 pack, but I'm thinking of getting a few hundred more to fill the drawer in my splice organizer..

Cheers!

Mods, feel free to move this.. I wasn't sure where to put this.

my home depot sells them for 7.99 +tax, so the price is pretty comparable. but, you don't have to trek out to home depot, so i say great deal. thanks for the heads up.

Thanks for the link.   I just purchased 2 packages of these.  They will definatly come in handy when I rewire my control panel and modules.  ;D

That's an average price. My local electronics parts jobber has these for $7.99 a bag of 100. Then you add our high Washington state sales tax and it comes to $8.56.

All three of our local Home Depot stores used to carry these terminals but they've all been discontinued.

I use old network cables. I split them open and unravel the 4 pair of wires. I solder these directly to the controls. Cheapest solution I've found and works great.

Just got my terminal order in from All Electronics.

Averages $4.50 / 100, quality is average.  Factor in shipping, its prolly about the same.  I tend to order 1000 or so at a time tho (work), so it works for me.
But wasn't it fun to think you won the lottery, just for a second there???

I order these. The price is ok but the quality is top notch. I love these ones. They are a very tight fit and sturdy. They work great.

It's 9am. I'm calling it a nite.

I know this is like apples & oranges but I prefer to use the insulated terminals.
Mostly because there is less of a chance that anything getting shorted together later on.

They cost a little more but overall I think it's worth it.

4.50 for a hundred at allelectronics:
http://www.allelectronics.com/cgi-bin/item/1150/196/3_16%22#34;_QUICK_CONNECT_FEMALE,_RED_.html

I have bought other things from them before.  It would probably be worth it if you ordered other things as well with shipping and all.  They do have some interesting stuff.

Good price. $32 for 1000. Not bad. How is their quality? Do they fit on the tabs tightly?

I can't answer that one, I have ordered many things from them over the years, just not any of these :-\
