Need help ASAP...Please...GP-Wiz programming
« on: March 02, 2007, 04:41:31 pm »
Sorry guys, I don't have time to sift through all the hits from my search (none of which seemed to match exactly).

Even though my mobo died last night...I'm thinking of using my laptop to run the cab for the party.  Then later I'll fix the issues and finish it completely.

I've got everything working except for the buttons.  How do I program the GP-wiz...not the GP-Wiz49 (Is there even a difference?)

The party starts in a couple of hours...need some quick help.

Thanks in advance,
Jouster

There are 10 types of people out there...those that understand binary, and those that don't.

You don't program the GPWiz.  You map the controls in MAME.  Go into a game then press [TAB] to get the setup menus.

If you can use the chat links under my avatar.

There's nothing to program.  Once it's enable on the frontend and maime, it ready to be use.

For mame, just start a game with the keyboard, hit tab and go into the varies section, select each function, hit the 'Enter" key and then hit the joystick button (GPWiz) that you want, repeat for everything else.

Update:

I had tried to use the input part through MAME before, but nothing registered.

This time it did, and I was able to get it working nearly 100% for the party!!
