Here is the byoac thread talking about him.

I'm one of those people that just love NIB stuff. I've got scads of old console games pre-dating the PSX that are still in their original unopened often shrink-wrapped condition. I'm one of those guys that pretty much creamed my pants when I heard about the MTG Arabian Nights (or was it The Dark?) auction involving the unopened boxes in the original shipping box with Richard Garfields hand written shipping label. Then jumped for joy when a private collector paid an outrageous sum of money to keep it all in one box to beat out a group of shop owners looking to divide the prize up amongst themselves to be resold.

If I had the money right now, I'd go for that auction.

That guy (gamespeople)  in the other thread is 110 miles north of Seattle.  Actually in Vancouver Canada.  Notice his membership info says Canada.  I think he has been well known for trades as John's Jukes and has been selling parts and stuff for years.  Also known as flippers.com I think.  Bought a PS and some joystick from him years ago before I learned about BYOAC.

Well, these things are nice of course......but......I still have a feeling that I get a whole lot more from reconditioning/restoring a USED machine, getting it to a condition that is as good as possible/close to new.

It gives a lot of satisfaction to work on a machine and see it re-gain it's old glory step-by-step.

You'll never get that with a NIB......also I think you would tend to hardly touch it (keep it in the box) with a NIB, whereas you enjoy a restored machine by looking at it, playing it and showing off what you've accomplished to friends....

Just MHO

Might think about it if it were a full-size...

When did eBay start this anonymous bidder thing?  Guess I haven't been on there in a while.
