Just say 'no' when it asks you to run that questionable plugin.

Open it in the current version of "Firefox"  and not in internet explorer.... It blocks that crap!

It's probably one of the above links that has the virus.

Aww, great, now I've been haXor3d....  :badmood:  I haven't updated that site in so long, I had no idea.  Just for the record, I don't use any activeX controls on that site, so if it asks you just block it.  Most current browsers should give you the option.

I'm checking into it.  From first glance, it looks like it tries to run a popup ad or something.  Nice to know my webhost's security is so easy to crack...  I'll try flushing out all the old files and upload the whole site again.  If I get any more complaints I'll probably just close the site since it's just an archive at this point.

Thanks!

BTW, I have no idea where herbelovedsister, com or prevedtraf, biz came from.  Has nothing to do with me.  I'm having a great day.  I just got an alert that someone charged $200 on my bank card too.

Update:  Looks like when I set up the site, I turned off write permissions for the public on all the html files, but not on the main folder.  Doh!  So I guess someone couldn't directly modify the file (open and save it) but they could probably overwrite it with a new one.  It was easy to see which file had been modified (index.html, modified just today!) so I deleted it re-uploaded the whole site (you might want to clear your cache).  Went back and no more popups.  Oh, and Norton blocked a downloader from being installed from prevedtraf_dot_biz...lovely.  Another good reason to have antivirus software.  Go out and get it today. -plug-

I changed my password just to be safe, and changed permissions on a lot of folders, so...it should be ok now.

Looks like prevedtraf_biz may have been suspended, but I'm going to file a complaint with the registrar anyway, if that does any good. *NVM--the registrar's site is all Chinese!*  I guess I could send hate mail to the administrative contact, but I'd probably just end up on every spam list on the planet, and I'm tired of getting new email addresses.

Oh, and herbelovedsister is--guess what?  pR0n.  Of course, what else could it be?    :timebomb:
