Is there anyplace I can look to find out if an original cab was stencilled or used stickers for the side art? I ask because I was looking for some Burgertime side art which I always thought had the vinyl stickers or whatever, but in the close up pics I see it looks stencilled. I just can't find a definitive answer.

I also always thought Joust was stencilled, but I saw somebody selling NOS side art.

Both Joust, Burgertime where originaly stencilled.

Some big ass stickers. I can't even remember where I saw that, but I thought it was wrong.

The joust thing is true.. williams DID sell a limited number of joust kits that contained sideart.. it was about half the size of what you see on most jousts, but it was a sticker and definitely factory.. However, it's very uncommon to see and really ugly compared with the original.

Conversion kits. Not for original Joust cabs.

Cool, thanks for the info guys. Is there anywhere else that I could find what other games were stencilled? I know that the Pacs were and old Williams stuff. Anything else?

pac was half stenciled. black parts were serigraphied then the rest of the colors (blue, yellow, red) were stencilled
Space Invader, defender, are stencilled.

if I recall correctly, Moon Patrol, burgertime, Junno First, Berzerk artwork are stencils too

Actually it was a conversion kit for Williams cabs.. came with sideart, complete joust control panel, marquee, bezel and roms.

Sweet man. I had been to your site, but didn't even notice you were selling a Burgertime stencil. I don't know how I missed it, since that is the one thing I have been looking for. How long do you think it will take you to finish? If yours turns out well, I will definitely be placing an order.

beacuse of the detail and regestration of colors on the front it was most likely originally screened onto the cabinet front directly. so thats why I opted for a silkscreened vinyl version for the reproductions

finally got back on this project and finished the front cabinet art
front kickplate screenprinted vinyl decal for Burgertime Cabinets
now available @ www.ThisOldGame.com

Once the artwork has been sized and vectorized film posistives are made for each color to be printed. the first color in this case will be white. Pic showing the film postive aligment on where it will be placed and screened

The image is set the screen is set and the white is ready for printing

each indiviaual color is alignd and printed one at a time after the previous color has been dryed, new screens made for the next color, red
and the same is done for the orange.

Each color is also slightly enlarged to provide "Trap"
the final color usally Black that holds all the detail
should hide all the points where the colors overlap

Now after months of art, screens, setups, its now complete
Screenprinting is how most of the orignal work was done in the day
its both an art and very time consuming.
a thanks to all that were patient for the're orders
and they are now ready for premask and shipping

I'll post a couple of before and after install pics soon
and then its on to stenciling the cabinet side

Awesome!!! Guess I'm going to have to order that front art!! I'm interested in side stencils, but I'm not sure how well it would work for the pepper in the shaker. Seems like it would be very tough to stencil?
