Using Mousse-Track as trackball
« on: April 07, 2003, 10:58:13 am »
Hi

I wonder if any of you use a Mouse-Track pro  http://www.mousetrak.com/profess.htm
as a trackball.

I just find one, and I guess it could be used as a trackball on my, still planning CP ;)

The mousetrack.com web pages gives some detailled imformations
http://www.mousetrak.com/spec_b5xxmp.htm, including autocad parts

any advice

Eric

Looks kind of small and is crazy expensive!  :o

Your also going to have to find a way to mount it. Why not just use a arcade trackball? You can either buy an interface like the optipac or Oscars USB board or you can buy a arcade trackball with mouse interface built in.
My statements are my own opinions. They have the value that the reader gives them. My opinion of my opinion varies between foolish and brilliant and these opinions often change with new information.

hopefully I didn't pay anything for it, it was lying around and old sun workstation  :D

I guess mounting it will not be the problem, my main concern is that is it "plugable" to an optipac. I'll order one from ultimarc.

I realise that I didn't give enough details. I just want to use the mecanism, logic board and plug the whole thing to an optiparc.

and finally for the momment, if this solution is viable, it will allow me to save a few bucks, ie better spinner or ....  :D
