Golden Tee 98
« on: February 16, 2007, 01:08:50 am »
Someone is selling a Golden Tee 98 locally for $350.  The monitor is 25".  I'm told it works great but has no side art,  just gray.   Is this a decent price?   I was considering offering $250 IF the monitor had no burn in, etc.

Opinions?

Won't you get in trouble ?

For reference, I bought a GT2K last year for C$225. Beautiful 25" Dynamo cabinet and bright, crisp screen. Your $250 is in the ballpark of what I think it might be worth.

Cheers

You should definitely buy it.  Then ship that Joust to me.

What kind of cabinet is it in?  Grey sides doesn't give much in the way of detail.

Frizzle,
I think we need to conduct an intervention.  You are unstoppable.  You are endangering yourself.

I have yet to even SUGGEST this cabinet to my ever so wonderful wife,  but I figured I'd get your input on it first.   I am not sure what kind of cabinet,  the person responding to me is the wife of a soldier in Iraq and it was his.   She could only tell me it is a 25" monitor,  the cabinet has gray sides,  and it works.

I asked for pix...not sure if I will get em.

I am not nearly as enthusiastic about this as I was about the Joust (of which the powersupply should be in my hot little hands next Wednesday or Thursday).

Frizzle,

I was once like you. The cure is to get your head out of the paper and off the computer and into some goggles and start working on what you got. Those deals ain't going anywhere.

....and see if he's got a second and perhaps third machine, since pissing off the wife is secondary to what we first think.

in ways that you later wish you hadn’t

You took that wrong Drew...i'm trying to determine if this buy is WORTH pissing the wife off...which it doesn't seem to be.   I think I will stick with what I have...for now.

And yes,  MAME IS a gateway drug...

PS: Still not smokin'... going on 5 days now... I want to friggin' punch holes in the walls...
