Looking for a custom CP
« on: February 14, 2007, 05:33:27 pm »
Anyone know a place to buy a MK style CP in Southern cali or anyone know guys that can make them.  I'm in the process of setting up a jamma cab that will have all version of MK installed.  Not looking for anything fancy just a CP that will have the 5 button layout and a run button.  Also the standard player 1-2 with an extra button to switch between games.

PM me if you can help.

You could probably just call a local arcade distributor and ask them if they have any old Mortal Kombat (or Blitz) cabinets for free. The local guy here gave me the Blitz cab that I'm going to gut and work with. I think my control panel top right now is from a Mortal Kombat. I'm going to toss that eventually, so I could maybe even ship it to you if it would work out. Let me take a look at it when I get home from work tonight. We could work it out so that I can ship to you for nothing more than the cost of shipping.

I have been calling local arcade places and none of them are willing to deal.  After a while of trying I eventually found 3-4 cabs for little or nothing, but none of them are MK cabs so they don't have the correct CP.  Is it possible to add the run button to an old MK CP??  Sorry i'm still VERY new to stand ups.

Since this cabinet will have all of the MK games housed I need the run button so if I can't add one easily i'll have to start with a custom one.

If I can get it to work and wouldn't mind putting it in a box I would really be interested.  I'll even give you a pre-printed shipping label to send it in.
