My guess is the purpose is twofold: stability and aesthetics. It really was an inspired stroke of genius to include such a flap.

Yes I should be but got derailed by work this week. My goal is to have it done Saturday or Sunday. I'm waiting on the IPAC mount kit and then I have to figure out what's wrong with the Ultimate 4-way.. I made a post about it to make sure I'm putting it together with the right pieces... it just seems clankly and isn't smooth.

I just realized the sheer size of this thing. That loose monitor isn't a 19" like I'd thought just looking at the picture, it's a 25". My 25" monitor is about 22" wide including the frame. by just comparing proportions in the pic, his control panel is more than twice the width of the monitor. The CP has to be almost 4 feet wide!

Now, I only hope my first cab that I will be starting soon (got to find out if I still have a job in 6 months or if I have to move first) will be better-looking than any of these posted (especially that neon MAME cab - now who does that remind me of?
