WTB: MK 3 control panel
« on: February 13, 2007, 05:02:25 pm »
Well I have been reading a LOT on here, the wiki, links etc.  I think the best thing for me to do would be to buy a CP instead of trying to make my own since I don't have any wood working tools, know how to use any tools, and probably would spend a long time making one.

Does anyone in So call know where to get custom made CP.  Nothing fancy just the 5 button MK layout with a run and a joystick.

Please PM or e-mail me if you do.

Thanks!

Well, I have an actual MK3 CP with all the buttons, but where are you located?  It's heavy as heck.

Well, I'm in TX so it prob won't work out due to crazyweight, but it's up to you and as such, your money.  Let me know and I'll try to dig it out of my stuff.

Does it have the run button included?  I may just have it shipped since the company gets a HUGE discount on UPS anyway.  My only concearn is could I just take out the old cab and put in this one or would I have problems getting it to fit and have to cut and modify it.

I'm picking up a few cabinets tomorrow so I can send pics and deminsions of them later to try and get a better idea if it will be a quick swap or not.

Is your cab a MKII?  If it is, it's a perfect fit.  If not, I can take pictures but it may take a week or so to dig out.  I just moved to TX and I'm working on setting up the house at this time.  And yes, it's an official MK3 control panel from a dedicated machine and as such has a run button and all the stock controls.

No it wasn't any of the dedicated MK machines.  It was some type of ultracab fighter cabinet that I'll be taking apart and converting.  Don't worry about the pics.  I'll try and find another MK3 machine and just take measurments of that to see if it's something I can at least fit.
