Hi,
You know what I'm talking about.  It's the all in one portables, where the computer guts are under the controls and it usually hooks to a TV.

I'm in search of the good RCA connector plate to use on the side of the box (preferrably black). Which ones did you use? Also what about bringing the USB to the outside of the box.

Photos of your end product would be awesome, especially the back part where the connections are.

Thanks,
Marvin

I don't have an "arcade in a box", but I used these to add USB jacks to the front of my control panel:

I can't get the link to work...did you use one those feed-through panel mount USB connectors from Switchcraft? (EHUSBABBXPKG)  I saw them on mouser.com as well.  They look like they would be great for mounting to wood, MDF or just about anything. I might get one of the EHUSBABBXPKG (B to A) for my portable franken-panel.  The black-housing RCA connector from that series (EHRCA2BXPKG) doesn't look half-bad either but it could expensive and expansive if you need more than one plug, I wonder if they have doubles, triples, etc.

Here: http://www.frontx.com/order2.html
is a sort of build your own front panel for 5.25" drive bays.  If you are mounting an externally acessable optical drive a side of your box, you could probably add one of them right under it, and customize it with your USB and RCA connections...  maybe a custom power connection too.  'Not quite sure about how it mounts, though.  That website has USB and RCA panel-mount extension cables as well.

Yep that's them!  They work great and are fairly well hidden since I got the black ones.
