finding cheap cab in the Bay Area, CA?
« on: January 27, 2007, 04:10:29 pm »
I'm branching this off from one of my other threads. If I can find a cheap cab around here, I'll probably use that instead of buying a UAII or candy cab for a lot more money. Does anyone have any suggestions for finding on in the Bay Area, CA?

I moved from the bay area this past year but there were always decent priced cabs for sale on craigslist.com

SuperAutcions comes through the bay area every couple of months....

Are you looking for a empty cab cheap or a playable JAMMA cab, etc?

I'd go for either if the price was right. A playable JAMMA cab might be better actually- I'd at least have the one game to play until I get a mame PC or Xbox or whatever I end up getting.

I've checked craigslist but never found anything that great, I'll keep looking.

How far are you willing to drive?  I've got a ton of cabs up in Redding.  Please, please, come take some.

There is a Dave and Busters in Milpitas.  You might contact them to see if they ever move out any of there older machines.

Yeah, for sure.  I once had this moron drive all the way up here from Modesto.  Some guy with a smoking parrot...

If I was a bit closer to Redding, I'd be all over it... but that's just way too far. I'll just keep checking Craigslist.

If you only delivered to Modesto..... and picked up giant freakin' Afterburner cockpits that fill up garages that could be better utilized for filling up with other games and things

What part of the Bay Area?

Two freebies may be available soon.

I know where there is a Mario Bros. (conversion), empty but with a coin door and a TV set in it, and also a P-47: The Phantom Fighter.  The cabinets apper to be in pretty good shape but they are lying on their sides on the ground.  The sideart on the Mario Bros. was good and the P-47 had a monitor, bezel, glass and coin door.  Don't know about the game boards in either or if any part of them actually works.  These were out in the rain from a couple of days ago so I need to take a closer look to see if they are workable.  Once I get a better look I'll either take them to my home in Hollister or leave them there.  Both of the Control Panels were there, but the art is bad and some of the controls are missing switches.

If I get them, do you want one?  I may take a couple parts off it, but I have no need for two mor cabinet shells right now.
