X-Arcade Trackball
« on: April 02, 2003, 09:28:03 pm »
It looks like X-Arcade is getting ready to offer a trackball.

http://www.xgaming.com/trackball.shtml

You can preorder now and everyone who preorders gets the following software with their trackball:
Quote
Includes 6 Full Version Licensed Arcade Classic Roms
Pong
Missile Command
Super Breakout
Centipede
Tempest
Asteroids
Includes Full Version Of Golden Tee Golf For PC

I don't see a price and they are asking "what price would you expect to pay"?  Even better if they are manufacturing their own trackballs and offer them at the same bargain prices as their joysticks and buttons.

just for kicks I clicked on "add to cart"

it brings up a pre-order form and one of the fields is"What do you expect to pay?"

you don't have to give any credit card info though, so I guess they are just feeling out the market.  interesting

I'm sticking with the DIY, but the X-arcade stuff is so cleanly built.

good find

Good find!  It would be great if their trackballs are as much of a bargain as their buttons and sticks.  What would be a fair price?  I guess it would depend on the electronics included.  I hope they offer a cheap version w/out the encoder board so I can hook it up to an Opti-Pac.  What would be even better is if the encoder board had the capability to switch between the trackball and a spinner on the fly so I wouldn't even need the Opti-Pac.

I want my own arcade controls!

WOW!!! This is a great! Man these guys sell their sticks for like $10 for 2 and now this. If the sticks cost that much think of how much we will be getting the TBs for (I hope). Man I hope we are looking towards spending about $20 here, lol. Thanx.
