WTB: Empty Q-bert or Q-Bert Style Cabinet Detroit Area
« on: January 12, 2007, 01:26:12 pm »
I am moving forward on my MAME project which could turn into a MULTIjamma project.

Right now I am looking to create a cabinet that looks like a dedicated Q-Bert but the control panel will obviously be custom but I'll be trying to mimic the Q-Bert style on the control panel.

If it's complete (monitor, bezel, marquee and coin door) that is a plus. But if you only have the cabinet, back door & coin door that's fine. However, I really don't want it hacked up.

Also, I know there are other cabinets out there that share the Q-Bert cabinet so I might be interested in that as well if the price is right. Right now I plan on mounting a 19" CRT in the cabinet but really if you have a nice 19" in the cabinet I would most likely be interested in that as well.

If you have one that your looking to get rid of let me know.

Thanks!
Bill

Not sure what a QBert looks like, but did you see these:

http://annarbor.craigslist.org/ele/255615835.html

Thanks. I did see those and sent them e-mails at least a week ago however only one of them replied and I'm waiting for photos.

How large is a NEO GEO cabinet? I looks pretty big. If the monitor works I might be looking to get the Neo Geo. I wish the other guy would reply back because I would snag up that Williams' cabinet.

I'm picking up that Neo Geo cabinet w/ monitor later in the week. Thanks for the tip. I saw that before and sent him a few e-mails. This time I was a little more persistent, "I WANT IT AND WHEN CAN I PICK IT UP".

Cool.  Good luck with it.  I'll keep watching for a Q Bert anyway.
