Free for pickup in Central IL. This is a work-in-progress bartop cabinet. What you see is what you get. Cab sides are 1/2" oak ply (with no external fasteners). T-molding slot is already cut. Control panel is 1" (actually 3/4", but it is called 1") oak and is ready to be drilled for controls and mounted to the frame. Monitor is decased 14 or 15". PC is a P120 or something like that running Vantage on DOS. Includes keyboard hack.
I started on this back in 2004 to see if I could build a "no cost" cabinet (everything used was already on hand). Family responsibilities kept me away from finishing it. Then I won a Dream Arcades cocktail last Christmas which is capable of playing all the games this would have played. I never got back to working on the bartop and it just sits here getting dusty. Instead of disassembling the case and pitching the PC, I thought I'd offer it up here. I'm in the Springfield IL area. I won't ship.
Let me know. If no takers in a couple weeks, then I'm reclaiming the space this is currently occupying.

I just realized you can't tell from the picture, but there is no top or back on the cabinet yet. I have some scrap ply that I'd add to the pile that should cover those needs.

Just outside of Springfield in Sherman. That's exit 105 as you are heading north on I-55.

I thought you were out east now? Wasn't that why you built you rather impressive bartop?

Thanks! Yeah, I built it to take with me. I'll be leaving in 2 weeks or so and I've been feverishly trying to get the house in order. I'm trying to find some arcade related projects I can take with me to tinker on to hold me over.

This is still available. PM me with details of how/when you would be able to pick this up and we'll see what we can get worked out. I work in downtown Springfield so I could do a meetup if downtown would work better.

Sorry, I rarely travel east, at least beyond the IL border. I would say this is not worth a 5 hour drive each way.

I'm going to take a pass. I decided that I have two arcade projects waiting to be completed now as it is. And i'd rather see this go to someone who could finish it. I'll start my own bartop sometime in '08
