trackball power question
« on: December 23, 2006, 04:24:15 pm »
Hi guys. I don't have room on my cp for a trackball but i have been researching things for the next project. I came across this

http://cgi.ebay.com/HAPP-CONTROLS-3-USB-PS2-TRACKBALL-ARCADE-WKS-W-MAME_W0QQitemZ250065378781QQihZ015QQcategoryZ13718QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I thought all trackballs had to be wired into the pc's power supply. Is this the only kind that doesn't ? Has anyone used this and if so is it any good ?
Thanks guys

No USB or PS2 Trackball has to be wired to the PC Power Supply.... Look at it this way, at the end of the day it's effectively just a giant upside down mouse. You don't have to wire your mouse up to the power supply do you?

The only thing that will need a power supply is the trackball lighting, because it WILL draw more than your PS2 Port should be supplying.

Most bottles and jars contain at least twenty-five percent recycled Pacman.
And research indicates that Space Invaders are strongly attracted to people who have recently eaten meat pies.
