Rock-Ola 480 makes a loud buzzing noise?
« on: December 21, 2006, 10:28:03 pm »
I just picked up this Rock-ola 480, I can get it to select a record, only by pushing the "Test" button.  It will play the record but the only noise coming out of the amplifier is a loud buzz.  The external volume control has no effect on the level of the buzzing.  Also the Speaker over load light is on.  It has a "52280-A Integrated Circuit Amplifier" in it.  Has anyone had this problem?

P.S. the number pad for selecting songs does not work either.

Any help would be much appriciated.

Thanks

Cody

The newsgroup alt.collecting.juke-boxes has a lot of good jukebox techs there. Especially a guy named Rockola Charlie (who happens to specialize in Rockola machines of all ages).
