JPac losing programming all of a sudden!
« on: December 19, 2006, 08:55:31 pm »
My JPAC has been working fine for months, and now all of a sudden, it loses its programming whenever I reboot my WinXP machine! I have to reprogram it with the winipac program every time I boot into Windows! Anyone have any ideas for what could be causing this? Thanks!

Never mind. Out of frustration I tried several reboots, several unplugs and replugs of the JPAC USB connection, and several uninstalls of the "Human Interface Device" drivers and it seems to stay programmed now!   ???

In the future whenever that happens, do the following:

1) Go into Device Manager in windows, and Uninstall ALL of your USB ports (Do not worry, they will all re-install on their own on next boot)

2) After doing the above step, then download this and double click on it.

That should fix her up for a while.

Ahhh....some prescribed steps that may fix the problem should it happen again. These will come in handy! Thanks!
